Bob Kaplan, formerly with McKinsey and Co., has joined the board of directors of New Jersey based Motif, Inc., a specialized business process outsourcing provider. Bob Kaplan has been a senior executive and management consultant for the past 30 years, and now serves as an advisory member to the board of Motif.

Bob spent ten years with McKinsey & Company as senior partner, leading their information technology and systems practice. Prior to that, he was the managing partner at the Boston Consulting Group where he worked for eleven years. Earlier, he worked with KPMG as a systems consultant.

Bob’s expertise is in the areas of strategy development and implementation, organizational effectiveness, and information systems and technology.  He has worked extensively with CEOs in technology-based industries, financial services, and utilities. Bob has held and currently holds a number of senior executive positions including acting CEO, acting CTO and board member for companies such as ITM Software, Silicon Valley Bank, Greater Bay Bank, Netliant, Inc., SiteSmith, Active Reasoning, Imagicast, epriSolutions and Alibris, Inc.

Bob has an M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree with honors with exceptional distinction in economics from Yale University.

Bob is a member of the Technology Advisory Peer Group for the State of California, a group of private sector executives counseling the state CIO as part of the Governor’s Information Technology Consolidation and Realignment Initiative.
